UTILISE, Utility Management Workshops are open to any organisation with premises located within West Sussex. The workshops explore all aspects of energy, waste and water management and look for areas where savings can be made. Topics include:

• Understanding billing and tariffs, including identifying ‘hidden costs’, such as meter size charges and Climate Change Levy
• Benchmarking, comparing your business’s usage against other organisations and setting targets for reduction
• Legislation, such as Waste Duty of Care and Water Pollution Control
• Methods for improvement, including staff involvement and efficient technologies
• Grant and funding opportunities

There is an introduction to emplacing an Environmental Management System within your organisation’s fundamental methods of working, as well as case studies demonstrating the benefits and business case of environmental best practise.
